“The best book on humility ever written.”
Humility Study Guide
by Andrew Murray and Heather Trim
“Humility is the displacement of self by the enthronement of God. Where God is all, self is nothing.”
Often considered the best book about humility ever written, this edition of Andrew Murray’s Humility contains two parts. The first part is the entirety of his original work, originally published in 1895. It is beautifully written and thoroughly describes the need for more of the humility of Jesus in our lives. It is the secret, hidden root of our redemption.
The second part is an adaptation or a modern translation, fully rewritten for today’s reader. Both parts include Study Questions for a fully immersive walk down into making humility our chief virtue to draw us closer to the meek and lowly Lamb of God, Christ Jesus.
Includes:
The Original Text from Andrew Murray

An Adaptation with modern language
Commentary by Heather Trim

Andrew Murray
Andrew Murray (1828-1917) born in South Africa, was a pastor, missionary, and evangelist. He completed his theological studies at Marischal College in Aberdeen, Scotland and went on to the University of Utrecht in Holland. He returned to South Africa to pastor a church where he met his wife, Emma, and raised eight children together. In 1860, he was invited to Worchester, Massachusetts, where he participated in a revival. It was there that he began writing down his sermons and published many of his works, such as Humility and Absolute Surrender.
