Meet the Creators of CHRISTMAS WITH HANK
About the Authors
Kevin and Heather Trim are a husband-and-wife writing team who share a love for family, faith, and storytelling. They have five children, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren. They live in Georgia with their family and serve together at Bear Creek Ranch, a Christian retreat center.
Kevin When Kevin isn’t writing, he enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his family. Heather is an author of numerous children’s and young adult books and loves creating stories that inspire children to discover courage, faith, belonging, and the wonder of God’s love.
Together, Kevin and Heather pray that their books give families opportunities to laugh, learn, and grow closer together.

Claire Pinson is an artist who loves bringing stories to life through imagination, color, and creativity. She especially enjoys creating characters that make readers smile and inviting them into worlds filled with wonder.

Pick-a-Challenge: Cut out the boxes and place them in a basket. Let a child draw a challenge to work on, then move the completed challenge to the refrigerator, bulletin board, or another special spot where everyone can celebrate your growing humble hearts.

Winter Woodland Adventures
Ready for a little winter adventure? Grab your coats, gather your favorite people, and join Hank and Chestnut for some Christmas fun! From hunting for pinecones to creating woodland masterpieces and discovering God's wonderful gifts, these activities are all about exploring, laughing, and making memories together. Pick an adventure and let the winter wonder begin!
1. Hank's Winter Wander - Bundle up and take a family nature walk. Look for pinecones, evergreen trees, birds, and other signs of winter. How many can you spot?
2. Chestnut's Sketchbook - Find a picture of a winter bird or squirrel, or observe one outdoors. Gather your art supplies and draw your own woodland creature.
3. The Great Pinecone Hunt - Head outside and see who can find the most interesting pinecone. Compare their shapes, sizes, and patterns. Which one would Chestnut choose for his woodland collection?
4. The Great Winter Hide-and-Seek - Choose a small woodland-themed object, such as a pinecone or toy squirrel, and take turns hiding it somewhere safe around the house. Give clues like “warmer” and “colder” to help everyone find it.
5. Christmas Star Gratitude - Take turns sharing one gift from God that doesn't come wrapped in a box. It could be family, friendship, a beautiful sunset, or the joy of helping someone. Talk about why these gifts matter.
